    A Love Story
    Written By Dave Vajgrt
    June 2005

Hello.  My name is Dave Vajgrt.  I guess you could say I am the other half of Dance for the Soul.  Stefanie Masters is my
best friend in the entire world, the love of my life, and my dream come true.  The story of how the two of us 'fell in love'
and came to Wisconsin is a pretty good one, and she asked me to share it with all of you.

Stefanie and I have been friends since about 1995.  In the time we have known each other we have been in a number of
different relationships.  We worked together at the same company in 1996, and again in 2002.  I was actually her boss if you
can believe it.  We became best friends in 2003.  For the better part of two years we were constant companions.  Not a day
went by that we didn't at the very least share a phone call.

She actually got me involved in the dance in about 2001.  We were sitting around a bon fire and she asked me to try and
play the dumbek.  The rest as they say is history.  After that I became her drummer, both in performance and during
classes.  I became her stage manager, roadie, assistant choreographer, and in general was sucked into the art that I have
come to love as much as I love her.  After that I was right there at her side at every class and every performance.

And then, as will happen with all great stories, tragedy struck.  I decided that for family reasons I had to leave Alaska and
return to my hometown of Port Washington WI.  It seemed as if the inseparable duo of Stefanie and Dave had finally
played its last 'dum ka dum tek'.

And so I left Alaska.  But even thousands of miles couldn't keep us apart.  They say you don't know what you've got until
its gone.  Well, it didn't take too long for me to realize what I had left behind in Alaska.  Not only the best friend I'd ever
had, but also a brilliant talent that needed a new stage.  So I made her an offer.  I told her that if she moved down to
Wisconsin, she would not have to work a regular job.  All she had to do was constantly pursue her dance.

From there the official 'long distance courting' began.  But after weeks of daily telephone calls and a significant telephone
bill, she finally agreed to take a trip to Wisconsin and see if we would be as brilliant a couple as we were friends.

And thats the story really.  She came down and her trip went brilliantly.  Now she pursues her dream of dancing, and I
have my dream come true always at my side.

I love you Stefanie.  Thanks for loving me.
